Friday Night Lights is back for a week nine look at how Cal football commits and their teams performed last weekend.

Camron Brooks‍ – 2026 DE from Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA). The Yellow Jackets continue to roll through their opponents as they earned another stellar victory over Houston County, 31-7. Brooks continues to be a force on defense, totaling 4 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 6 hurries, and a forced fumble. The Yellow Jackets look to finish the regular season undefeated as they end the season against Coffee on 10/31.

Tyree Sams‍  – 2026 WR from Clovis North (Fresno, CA). Clovis North cannot get out of their losing slump as they took another tough loss to Clovis West, 30-24 in OT. Sams did not play in the game. The Broncos are looking to finish the season with a win against Clovis East in the season finale on 10/31.

Taimane Purcell‍ – 2026 TE from Kamehameha (Honolulu, HI). Purcell and the Warriors finished the season with a solid win over Punahou, 24-10. Purcell got it done on both sides of the ball. On offense, he hauled in 6 receptions for 39 yards and rushed once for 2 yards and a touchdown. On defense he had 1 tackle, 1 tackle for a loss, and 1 sack. The Warriors finished the season 4-4.

Kamo'i Huihui-White‍  – 2026 OL, Saint Louis HS (Honolulu, HI). Huihui-White had a bye week before their final game against Punahou on 11/1. The Crusaders offensive line looks to keep the offense rolling as they average 29 points a game, 203 passing yards, and 87 rushing yards.

Elisha Faamatuainu‍  – 2026 OL, Murrieta Valley HS (Murrieta, CA). The Nighthawks could not close the gap near the end as they dropped another game against Vista Murrieta, 42-35. The offense was impressive accumulating 295 rushing yards and 255 passing yards. Faamatuainu look to put up another offensive clinic in their final game against Roosevelt on 10/30.

Jaxon Pyatt‍  – 2026 LB, Arvada West (Arvada, CO). Arvada West won in a nail-bitter over Chatfield, 28-27. Pyatt and the defense did just enough as Pyatt put up 8 tackles in the game. The Wildcats have their biggest test of the season as they go up against undefeated Ralston Valley to finish off the regular season on 10/31.

Artem Korchagin‍ – 2026 OL, Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA). Korchagin and the offensive line bullied Houston County in their brilliant win, 31-7. Korchagin anchored the line as they racked up 218 rushing yards and 198 passing yards to keep the win streak going. The Yellow Jackets look to finish off the season undefeated as their final game is against Coffee on 10/31.

EJ Morgan‍ – 2026 WR from Central East (Fresno, CA). The Bengals won in a shootout over Clovis, 61-49. Morgan was able to pull in 3 catches for 49 yards in a solid night. Central East looks to keep the momentum going in their final game against Buchanan on 10/30.

Nemyah Telona‍  – 2026 DT, De La Salle (Concord, CA). The Spartans dominated San Ramon Valley, 56-7 to continue their win streak. Telona contributed 5 tackles on the night as they shut down the San Ramon Valley offense. Telona will be in action on 10/30 against California in a test to stay undefeated.

Luca Wolf‍– 2026 TE, The NFL Academy (Loughborough, England). The NFL Academy will have another bye before going up against the Mexican Academy on 11/14.

Ernest Nunley‍ – 2026 CB, Western (Anaheim, CA). The Pioneers got held in check in the loss against Tustin, 42-21. Nunley was able to get 2 receptions for 31 yards on the night in the rough outing. The Pioneers finish off the season on the road against Trabuco Hills on 10/30.

Esaiah Wong‍ – 2026 OL, Kailua (Kailua, HI). Wong and the OL had the week off. The Surfriders have a rematch against Waipahu in the season finale on 11/1.

Rocky Cummings‍ – 2026 ATH, Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA). The Lancers suffered their first loss of the season against La Costa Canyon, 50-22. Cummings stats were not able to be found in the rough loss. Cummings and the Lancers look to get back in the win column over Del Norte in the season finale on 10/30.

Kingston Schirmer‍ ‍ – 2026 DT, Centennial (Corona, CA). The Huskies won in a shootout over Norco, 59-49. Schirmer was held in check on the night with 2 tackles and 1 pass deflection. Schirmer will look to get the defense back on track in their next contest Chaparral on 10/30 to finish the season.

Brady Palmer‍ – 2026 QB, Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA). The Dons were able to pick up another win over Lincoln, 42-33. Palmer did not play in the game due to injury. Palmers next opportunity will be the final game of the season against University City on 10/30.

Nainoa Lopes‍ – 2026 QB, Saint Louis (Honolulu, HI). The Crusaders had a bye week before their season finale against Punahou 11/01. Lopes has 1,110 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and 151 rating on the season.

Jonathan McKinley‍– 2026 LB from Centennial (Corona, CA). The Huskies won in a shootout over Norco, 59-49. McKinley’s stats were not uploaded. McKinley and the defense look to bounce back against Chaparral on 10/30.

Frank Fanua‍ – 2026 DT/G from Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA).  Fanua will had a bye this week before their season finale against El Capitan on 10/31.

Deon Jackson‍ – 2026 CB from Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, CA). The Jack Rabbits blew the doors open against Cabrillo, 72-0. Jackson had a productive game with 1 tackle, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 interception, and 8 pass deflections. The Jackrabbits look to finish the season against Compton on 10/30.
