Bears Sign Top 125 2026 Wing Nyce Bakare

The Bears signed their lone current commit of the 2026 class with the addition of Bella Vista Prep (Scottsdale, AZ) small forward/wing Dionycius "Nyce" Bakare today. 

The 6-5/170 SF/W originally committed to Penn State on July 7 before decommitting last month.

The 3 star Vancouver, British Columbia native plays for UPlay Canada on the EYBL circuit. In 11 EYBL games last spring, Bakare averaged 14.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, shooting 48% from the field and 40% from 3.

Bakare got bumped up to #124 from #214 in the most Rivals/On3 Top 150.

The Bears beat out Washington, ASU, USC, Alabama, Illinois, Seton Hall, SMU and more for Bakare’s commitment.
