The Bears made their third transfer portal addition of the day in highly-regarded redshirt frosh Oregon safety Kingston Lopa.

The 6-3/195 big-hitting safety totaled 13 tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass defended playing in a backup role for the Ducks this season in an experienced Oregon defensive backfield.

As a prep at Grant Union High School in Sacramento, Lopa was rated 4 stars and the #6 safety in the country. He chose Oregon over Cal, Texas, USC, LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Tennessee and more. A 1st team all-state safety, Lopa totaled 67 tackles and four interceptions on defense along with 39 catches for 711 yards and 16 touchdowns on offense.

Either Way Cal benefits - Tosh National Champion Defense or Cal Grad/Quarterback National Champion and Heisman.
