Tosh on the road again, a wardrobe recommendation, a notable watch list, more season predictions, Joaquin’s persuasive argument, some compelling ACC non-conference games, a community service update and Cal’s favorite beverage.

Lupoi and Saffell close out their excellent adventure at a top shelf Napa winery and later to Sacramento to visit Gavin Newsom. Always best to have a drink before meeting a governor.

Cal Football Chief of Staff, Andrew McGraw, wrote and directed the 6 part series, and all but one was filmed in a single day…the run highlighted some of the most iconic spots in the Bay, amplifying the draw Cal has to its players and recruits.

Ryan Paganetti, Super Bowl-winning strategy and analytics coach, took a look at first year NFL coach attire since 2001 and its relationship to winning games. His findings might be of interest to Tosh and his staff.

The Shriners Bowl watch list includes a good number of Cal players. Cal Football, mostly underrated heading into 2026, is getting the attention of people in the know.

More season assessments/W-L predictions are rolling in as fall camp approaches. MoragaBear highlighted a favorable one earlier this week. Here is another. I might have flipped an outcome or two but it’s pretty close to the mark. BI, your thoughts?

Bud Elliott of the CBS Cover 3 Podcast, after a conversation with Joaquin Ruiz, has a change of mind on JKS.

The ACC and B1G have 5 matchups in 2026, including CAL-UCLA. Some toss up games, and an important test for conference strength.

Cal WR, Jordan King, is a great kid with an incredible family. Not surprised he is being recognized for service to his community.

A review of all FBS schools and their favorite libation. I think I would have gone another direction after Cal introduced Oski’s California Gold to CMS in 2025. The selection in the post references a drink from the Lobby Lounge menu at The Claremont Hotel. Haven’t seen that cocktail on the menu since 2024. What’s your favorite, BI?
