Tosh takes a hike, JKS has a USC fan, a fundraiser high water mark, free Cal Football tickets, a Bears baseball legend on a west coast tour, waiting on a valued recruit, and who would ever disrespect Marshawn Lynch.

Tosh leads his team to new heights.

SI ranked all 2026 FBS QBs. Max Browne, former USC QB and ESPN analyst, who was on the call at more than one Bears game last year, has a hot take on the rack and stack of JKS.

After praising UCLA on its $41M in fundraising last year, Wilner piles on Cal’s little brother, separately retweeting a tweet noting that Cal has raised double UCLA’s figure.

The Golden Ticket program is a promotion that could lead to sticky business. Cal offers complimentary tickets to alums (600,000+) for the first 3 games. A wide net is cast to leverage a season of promise, banking alums will come roaring back for more, paying it in return.

Cal baseball legend, Andrew Vaughn, was in town this week and got some pitching in.

Michigan HC, Kyle Whittingham, has a solution for college football. With an expectation of “a dozen teams in the next recruiting cycle with $50M rosters”, the unsustainability requires a change to “an NFL minor league model, a salary cap, and the players are employees”. A few challenges to his vision, including anti-trust issues and players under the employ of their schools. However, the dialogue continues and Cal is working to get deep into the conversation. They’re making progress. 2026 can be an inflection point.

Defensive Back Alius Mayo, incoming Soph at Modesto Junior College, is the nation’s No. 1-ranked JC prospect in the 2027 class, though Cal already has commitments from three other DBs. The Bears have made NorCal top prospects a very high priority. Cal and Alabama are the leading contenders. The announcement is expected on August 2nd. Tosh has his ways…

Always thought Marshawn had credibility and reach with anyone he wanted. Watch below. This didn’t end well.
