Quarterbacks Battle Continues in Ninth Spring Practice

After reviewing the tape of Saturday’s controlled scrimmage, Cal head coach Justin Wilcox on Monday seemed more impressed with the way the offense performed than he had been originally. But he still had some overall reservations.

“I thought the offense functioned pretty well, overall. The quarterback play, they did a pretty good job of getting the ball to the right guys,” he said after Monday’s two-hour workout, the ninth of the spring. “As a team some of the same things we talked about Saturday, being able to focus throughout a longer practice like that.
