Inexperienced but Talented: Fuimaona Key Player for Bears

For a guy who hasn’t been playing football all that long, Cal defensive lineman Siulagisipai Fuimaono has become pretty important to his team.

Siu (which is how I will refer to him for obvious reasons) is one of just two nose guards taking part full go in spring practice. Five years ago he played in his first organized game. Now the Bears expect him to have a prominent role.

“I really like how Siu’s coming along,” defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter said this week.
