Cal Baseball Finishes Year at ASU With Faint Postseason Hopes

Cal’s baseball team concludes its regular season at Arizona State in a three-game series starting Thursday, with a very slim chance it will be playing after this weekend.

The Bears (30-21, 14-13) need to sweep the Sun Devils (22-30, 12-15) to have any chance at making the NCAA Tournament. Even that might not be enough. Most postseason projections figure the four Pac-12 teams will be invited. Stanford, Oregon State and UCLA are locks.
