The Bears are strongly in the running for 6-9/235 center D.J. Thorpe and will be hosting the Lake Austin (Austin, TX) High School player on an official visit this weekend, corresponding with the kickoff of the collegiate football season when Cal hosts North Carolina on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
