Jaylen Martin‍ , 2019 cornerback out of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Corona, California, received his scholarship offer from the Bears. Although he is committed to Colorado at this time, look for Cal to try and shake him free of that as signing day approaches.

Strengths: First thing that jumps out at you on film is how long he is. He is 6'2 and lengthy and is a good enough athlete to compete at the next level. Martin shows off good football instincts by seeing a throw ahead of time and making a play on it. He also does a solid job in press coverage for someone who has a slender frame. Martin also isn't afraid to get his nose dirty and mix it up in the run game.

Areas of improvement: He has a slender frame, and will need to improve his strength which is evident by his 180-pound max bench press. Doesn't look as fluid in and out of breaks as most, and hips are a little tight.

Stats and Measurables:

Junior year stats: 30 total tackles, 2 INT's, 3 TfL, and 1 INT return for a TD.

Sophmore year stats: 5 tackles and 1 Tfl.

Bench: 185   Clean: 235   Squat: 325  40-yard dash: 4.6
