Two 2020 Cal Prospects Received Their Offers

Strengths: Mark Redmond‍ is hard to miss on film. He has a big body standing at 6’6  weighing 250-pounds and is just a Junior in high school. He has soft hands and is not afraid to go high point the football in traffic. He will not hesitate to get his nose dirty in the run game and looks quick on film. . Expect Redmond to move up from his 3-star ranking and will be greatly benefited with a good quarterback in Ethan Garbers.

Areas of Improvement: Like most young guys, their technique in the blocking game can be fine-tuned as well as his route running. But he has the work ethic and the drive to get better at these and he will be a recruit to watch in the next couple of months.

Pro Comparison: Zach Ertz. They both are men playing amongst boys in High School, and their size is almost identical. Both play with physicality and finesse and both were born to play Tightend.

College offers: UCLA, Arizona, ASU, Boise State, Cal, Alabama, Utah, Washington, Colorado, Michigan, SDSU, and Wisconsin.

Strengths: Tate Romney‍, the 3-star linebacker from Chandler Arizona, flies to the football. He trusts his football instincts and doesn’t look to be overthinking out there, which is something Cal’s coaching staff talks up. He is a hard hitter who’s side-line to side-line speed is impressive on film. He has a knack for causing big plays with him already having three sacks, one forced fumble, one blocked kick, and one interception not even halfway through the year. Shows off the ability to match up against the tight end and running back because of his versatility playing safety and linebacker.

Areas of improvement: Romney will need to pack on a couple of pounds on his frame to be able to play at the Mike position at the next level
