Two quarterbacks better than one? A look at the numbers

October 3, 2018

The Bears won their first three games this year under the unusual two-man quarterback tag team of Chase Garbers (7 above) and Brandon McIlwain (5).  Saturday's loss to Oregon gave the Bears the same 3-1 record they had last year under a conventional one-QB system with Ross Bowers, now reduced to a spectator, at the controls.
