A day before their Sunday scrimmage, the Bears had a somewhat-abbreviated practice Saturday morning in Memorial under another perfect mid-60s August sky

A few players with days off and a couple back in action as 3-way QB battle continues

Warmest day of camp so far as QB battle continues to heat up on the field

It was a defensive day in the early heat on Sunday. The team practiced in shells (upper pads) in what they call a "Thud" session with plenty of hitting and contact and without tackling to the ground. There were plenty of interesting observations to be had.

Day three saw spirited action on the field at Memorial with the energy especially high with a day off looming on Saturday and a large host for former Cal football players in attendance, with a large player dinner scheduled for after practice
