Hmm, I get terrible cell reception at CMS and they don't provide wifi. That could be an issue.smh said:if you're right we're done with cal. signed, mobile-less in cupertinoColoradoBear said:

Yup. I get basically no cell reception. I have declined the mobile ticket option every year up to now solely out of reliability concerns, even though it would be far more convenient for me. At least they had better scanners in 2019. Those old handheld scanners were a nightmare. Fingers crossed this works come Sept.philbert said:Hmm, I get terrible cell reception at CMS and they don't provide wifi. smh I'm pretty sure you should still be able to print them on paper at home and bring that to have scanned. Maybe call and see if they can confirm. They should be PDFs (that's what other "ticketless" venues do). I will probably do this too, at least at first, to have as a backup. Up to now though it was just easier to have them send me my tickets than do all this myself. It's absolutely to cut cost.smh said:if you're right we're done with cal. signed, mobile-less in cupertinoColoradoBear said:

Why would I want to bring a tablet to a football game?..philbert said:Hmm, I get terrible cell reception at CMS and they don't provide wifi. That could be an issue.smh said:if you're right we're done with cal. signed, mobile-less in cupertinoColoradoBear said:

But in theory, you should be able to pull the tix up on a tablet before leaving home and just bring the tablet with you if you have no phone.

Yeah functional wifi would be nice. Or at least cell repeaters. I usually have no problem with service outside the stadium but in/under the press box it drops to worse than dial up speeds.philbert said:
You could, but if you've ever attended an event with the AXS app, that has rotating barcodes every minute. Not saying that the ATO would use that technology, but you never know.
Also, it would be good if Cal provided decent cell coverage and/or wifi in the stadium if they're going to do this.
I use screenshots all the time at events - great for texting tix to your friends. Much easier than 10 years ago when having someone run late meant running out to the gate, dropping at will call, or whatever. But as others have said, the rotating barcodes need internet access - but seems like they mostly are used for high demand events to control scalpers/fake tickets (and funnel resale fees back to the event).okaydo said:
Why not take a screenshot?
When seeking a phone plan, I had a problem: I'm home a lot and when I'm away from home, I almost never use the internet.
So I found a service that gave me the option of not using data. But if I needed data, I could just flip a switch and have it and be charged based on usage. (My service since switched it around and I now pay $5 a month for data up to 1 GB)
I wrote an email to Knowlton. Will post what he says. He usually responds quickly.philbert said:

So true. It's really frustrating that they don't have dedicated lines for season ticket holders and people without bags.Quote:
Its hard enough to get in as it is.

Because we're teaming up with Apple: All fans can purchase the following package:
Transparent, "perfect-sized" stadium bag, with Cal mask, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and an iPad mini, all for the low low price of $500 (would cost $550, if you went to purchase those items separately)!

Good to hear from you! Yes mobile tickets are being used by a majority of the sports industry now. Its become the norm. I know that is not what all fans desire so with that in mind we will still have a print option for fans who desire. You just need to work with your service rep and they can print and mail you your season tickets. Also if you have mobile tickets and want to send one of the tickets or four of the tickets to someone else you simply will use their phone number or email address to transfer them. Once you do that the person you transferred to would have the ticket and could enter on their own at CMS or Haas.

Long lines and a disaster in the making but let's give them a chance. I would print at home, if at all possible.

If they are using print tickets at all, that means no rotating bar codes. Hopefully.
Screenshots of electronic tickets work well, and no cell service would be required at the stadium if.one does that in advance.
But there will definitely be some learning going on (ie lines) for the first few games.
