Having lowered expectations, I looked expecting a ranking in the mid-60's (worst case 70's). As I got below 70 I gave a sigh of relief. Then as I got below 60 , then below 50. Then I hoped for a ranking below 40. But alas, it was not to be. Well 42 is 20+ better than I originally expected.
Go bears. Let's up the grading criteria this year on all counts.

It seems appropriate that ASU is so high here.
They are over-rated every single year.

#127 UMass - omg.
#116 UNLV - but they get to play in the new Raiders stadium
#113 UConn - the northeast isn't exactly college football territory
#97 Hawaii - surprised they are this low
#95 San Jose St. - no surprises here
#92 Indiana - lowest ranked power 5 conference school
#91 Wake Forest - lowest ranked ACC school
#86 Vanderbilt - lowest ranked SEC school
#85 Iowa St. - lowest ranked Big 12 school
#77 Kansas - surprisingly high
#76 Oregon St. - lowest ranked Pac-12 school
#72 San Diego St. - not good but not terrible either

#43 Syracuse - we're ranked just above a team that plays in a dome
#42 California - disappointing to see us lower than Utah, we're at the bottom of the top third
#41 Illinois - they hold a 7-4 head to head matchup against us but we have 3 game winning streak
#37 Utah - punching above their weight
#33 Oregon - moving up the rankings
#32 Stanford - sucks
#29 Minnesota - surprised to see them this high, can you think of a star QB?
#28 Arizona St.- surprised to see them this high
#24 Colorado - who would have thought they would be the 4th best P12 school?
#22 Georgia Tech - also surprised to see them this high, better than several SEC schools
#21 UCLA - doing less with more
#20 Miami - expected to see them to do better
#17 Washington - second best P12 school
#9 Notre Dame - thought they would be in the top 5
#8 Southern California - highest ranked P12 school
#6 Nebraska - how this school in the middle of nowhere was so good for so long is an incredible story
#5 Texas - also doing less with more
#4 Oklahoma - like Nebraska, they've were so good for a long time and even better than Texas
#3 Ohio St.
#1 Michigan
#1 Alabama
