I don't know if Wilcox is using Wisconsin as a model or not. If he is it no longer works judging by their record and today's thrashing. What caused me to post was an early 'advertisement' on the Michigan-Wisconsin broadcast that was a thank you to Barry Alvarez. There were clips of a young Alvarez talking about changing the losing culture at Wisconsin when he took over there. It struck me that a new head coach only has a few years to do this and more importantly SELL this to recruits. If you are not seeing improvement, however small, year to year in the first couple of years no one believes you are on the right track. I don't think we are on the right track. Bruce Snyder is the only coach in our 'recent' past that took until year 4 to show that he had changed the culture. Maybe others remember something different. But our culture doesn't seem to be changing. Ironically, Wisconsin's culture is changing again..for the worse.
My two cents on this beautiful Saturday.
