I can't imagine being rich and famous and living on a public street that anybody could have access to...especially USC fans.

(Especially after reading about the Netflix co-CEO's mother-in-law, who was shot and killed in a home invasion robbery in Beverly Hills early this morning.)
There are multiple members of Green Day who live near me. Their houses have gates but the neighborhood does not.

Hysteria about crime is generally not productive in my experience.

I don't think it's crime so much as crazy passionate sports fans.

I do wonder if NIL $ would have been better at Oklahoma/Big 12 than at USC under Pac12 and California rules.

"Hey kid, come to SC and I'll do for you what I did for Spencer Rattler".

I guess if you can keep recruiting 5 star players it becomes less of a test of your whisperer skills and more about competition. Maybe Riley is no better at coaching QBs than Musgrave.

Baker Mayfield - Heisman
Kyler Murray - Heisman
Jalen Hurts - Heisman runner-up.

Yeah, I think Riley is a pretty good QB coach……

Our Bears ought to be trying to get USC's 2021 QBs, Dart and/or Slovis, via the transfer portal.

How is he at recruiting oline, because that probably makes a bigger difference wrt qb success.

Or a great recruiter. Let's ask Rattler.

Before a program can speak to the potential transferee, the potential transferee must enter the portal. Tampering is a no-no. I'm guessing that Riley is doing everything he can to keep both QB's in LA.

And a great recruiter (see Caleb Williams).

I saw this tweet and googled to see how they found his address.

And, well, a Los Angeles real estate publication published it. Usually, they don't actually put down the actual address. But it's odd...if I'm rich and there are a lot of people who passionately hate me, I would not want my address out on the web.

Same here. There are lots of nut cases out there. It is not good to have your name and address out there especially if you are known to be RICH.

I would say there goes the neighborhood (I'm actually up the hill in Rolling Hills), but I'm surrounded by SC folks. They were in hibernation for a few years, but it looks like Riley has them wearing their gaudy red and gold gear again.

That about sums up the archetypical USC fans.

I think it is kind of gross for anyone to have a place that big which uses that many resources. And a bad look for someone working with many young people who come from much more modest means.

He's probably going to pay more to his maintenance and housekeeping staff than he does to a couple of his assistant coaches.

Yeah, but "weekend BBQs at coach's house" have a different cachet when you have a playground like that.

I have visited OU. But here is not a single place like his new home within 100 miles of OU. Unless you die and go to Heaven

Minor quibble with the Front Office Sports tweet above. The property is clearly not "oceanfront" and would be a lot more expensive if it was. In most parts of coastal CA (including Malibu, most of the OC, and Pebble Beach) an oceanfront home of that size would cost quite a bit more.

College football has nothing to do with "bad looks". Money and laundry.

Repeating the same 30 year old Seinfeld joke over and OVER AND OVER doesn't make it any more meaningful or funny.

Never watched Seinfeld. Don't watch tv, other than the old MacNeil/Lehrer News Hour, when it was on.

Money and Laundry is a fact.

Agreed, more like "ocean view" and I have a much better ocean view from a house we paid only $75k for, but it is not in California. Riley bought a good house for a USC coach.

Last NFL game I watched was the Niners first super bowl. Walked out of an in-law's party where they were all watching a Warriors seventh game finals. TV sucks, especially for advertisements, oh, I mean sports.

thanks OK, fun reading what are now ironic comments about our neighbor on the hill. SC is the sleeping giant. Unfortunately they hired a competent AD, who was not afraid to make hard decisions and bold investments, and told their President to get out of his way. .

Stewart Mandel predicted Oklahoma would go 7-5 this season, which really angered Sooners fans.

Oklahoma went 6-6.
