I realize this is a season where we're coming in under the radar due to the player turnover, so 8 out of 22 starters getting named isn't too bad. At least that's my immediate reaction.

What's the point of making an article authored by Cal Athletics and mirrored on calbears.com premium content here? I just don't get it. Is it a mistake? Is there extra content in this version? Very strange strategy.

That was a mistake. We never make free outside stories subscriber only on purpose. Just forgot to uncheck the subscriber story box.

If Jeremiah Hunter was a stock, I'd be jamming the buy button. He's going to have a huge season. If he stays healthy, I bet he'll be Wilcox's first 1000 yard WR.

FWIW...I think Oladejo was every bit as good Hearns as a true frosh. He didn't turn 18 until mid season!

Thanks for the clarification MB. I've noticed in the past that some BI-generated content starts out subscriber-only and then switches to public. Always assumed there was some intentional delay policy but maybe this explains those too.

Yeah, it's not a matter of checking either the subscriber only or free story boxes. It's a matter of unchecking the subscriber only box with any story that's supposed to be free and occasionally that gets missed since subscriber only is the default option.

Thank you!

UW at 12 seems high given their losses from last year and I don't recall them having recruiting classes in the top 20 nationally of late.

OSU seems consistent with the perception that they're on the rise without tripping up as much as Cal in the last two years.

The mix of classes would be interesting…

Duh, thanks. Yeah 9th is where most are picking us so that is consistent.
