Liberal bastion KGO Radio wasn't very diverse.

There are still more African American's in that KGO photo than in Trump's cabinet.
Same for hispanics.
Almost one third women too. I'm guessing Movielover couldn't find a diverse conservative talk station staff from that era for comparison.

Give him a minute.
I'm sure he'll come up with a photo of Candace Owens.

Maybe I'm not into bean counting.

Dr. Thomas Sowell and Dr. Walter Williams are favorite economic historians. Should I skip one bc they're both black?
You're the one who brought up the diversity issue at KGO. You also mentioned 39 people in the image. Sounds like bean counting to me.

As for Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams, don't ignore them or follow them because they are black. Ignore or follow them based on the validity of their ideas. I will point out that like the KGO poster, you've focused in on race again.

Sowell has to ask himself a hard question: What kind of a man finds it acceptable to be the darling of old White guys that have no trouble dropping the N bomb at their private clubs in the steam bath?

Germany chose to rely on Putin over green, reliable nuclear energy or American LNG.

Further, this idiotic gamble now means Germany has restarted 20 coal plants, and some fear they are facing massive economic consequences.

Im aware of Germany's situation.
I have a $270,000 German sports car that goes into production on October 14th.

By the way, shipping LNG is capital intensive and problematic. It requires special terminals at the Port not too mention ships and train cars. You just dont flip a switch overnight. It requires years of infrastructure build out. In the meantime, the U.S. has already been shipping LNG to Germany and their chancellor has started entering into contracts with the U.A.E., although these are currently small contracts.

Germany still has 3 nuclear power plants operating thru December 2022. Its quite possible these plants will be extended, much the same way as Gov. Newsom has done here in California with Diablo Canyon to 2030.

I believe that Germany's current supply of NG in storage is up to 85%. But that's only about 2.5 months worth of demand.

https://www.cleanenergywire.org/news/qa-why-germany-phasing-out-nuclear-power-and-why-now#:~:text=the%20long%20run.-,Facts%20of%20the%20German%20nuclear%20phase%2Dout,to%20a%20phase%2Dout%20schedule.

You are truly fascinating. You unnecessarily post about a $270,000 car (did the price matter to your point about Germany?) to announce your claimed wealth. Not sure I believe it, but whatever, it doesn't matter one bit, since wealth doesn't impress most people. Despite your vast wealth, you are the guy who posts incessantly on this website, making full use of its resources, while not supporting it with a $100/year subscription.

And back to the topic, KGO failed because liberal talk radio has never been particularly successful. For whatever reason, liberals (on the whole) don't engage with that medium (over the air radio) the way conservatives do. I'm not saying that's good or bad - but it is factually accurate (on the whole) and has been for years.

It is remarkable KGO held on as long as it did. KABC radio in LA switched from liberal to conservative format years ago.

Leftists suck at talk radio for a very simple reason, a long-form discussion format can usually foil or refute many of their viewpoints, and leftists and progressives don't want to be exposed as being intellectually vapid. It is amusing listening to a KALW show with hosts seemingly treading lightly on a topic while hosts on the right are exclamatory and succinct hard-hitters who know how to make a clear point.

For some reason, "it" doesnt matter to you.
But it does.

Since there now appears to be some "active" Moderation at Bearinsider I might just revisit a $100 a year subscription. But it wasnt going to happen as long as posters like HTP and BearForce were allowed to post their inflammatory rubbish 24/7.

Respect isnt given.
It's earned.

Air America flopped. Little humor.

To your point on directness. I heard a man (YT clip) challenging a wokester, a man, who identifies as a woman, who apparently says gender is all some imagined construct. He asked him to define a woman, which he couldn't do,... yet he identifies as one.

(I have empathy for people suffering from gender dysphoria and mental issues, but think it's appalling that medical professionals would conduct life changing surgery on children who haven't gone through puberty or matured to adulthood.)

Heck I do more than that on a single football weekend driving to Cal roundtrip from LA in my RAV4 with over 210,000 miles on it.

I turned on 810 again this morning, on the way to Safeway and back (yesterday was a trip to TJ's). Today, my motivation was to find out if it was really as bad as it was yesterday. It was.

Sadder still: I'm sure Cumulus has done their homework and knows that people will listen. But who? (besides me a few times, out of initial curiosity). Target demographic seems to be men who are into sports betting and, to a lesser extent, fantasy football and sports in general (and like listening to horses' behinds who think they have an entertaining patter).

I'm a pretty laissez-faire guy, but all this new up-front sports betting and tribal casinos and all is starting to gross me out.

It is not a supply issue, it is a demand issue. The target demographic listens to hours of scheduled broadcast AM radio.
