If the previous consensus "worst power five team in the country" could do it, so can we!

Toga Party At Memorial on October 22!

Won't matter, in the long run.

none of my friends are interested in going; I will go and scream at Musgrave & Wilcox from the student section

My ticket in T is on StubHub for a dollar.

Cool, I found out how to sell a ticket in a hurry. It's sold!

My group will be there only because we got our ticket rep to get us a one time deal for signifiant dollars to the University Club for Dub and Oregon (we considered it a donation with benefits). We're considering it a dinner out and we heard there's some kind of athletic event going on below us.

Maybe kick back and watch some playoff baseball, while occasionally checking out what is going on down on the field.

No.
Not with a 7:30 pm start.

I would go if Wilcox was fired today. Unfortunately he wasn't and it will continue to spiral downward until there are no more than 10k poor souls in attendance.

Definitely looking at 15K max at kickoff, depending on how the game goes maybe 10K stick around for the end.

Gee. I thought maybe this week we'd get College Game Day in Berkeley but they chose Eugene instead.

I think you're right. Eventually may come sooner than I initially thought. A 7:30 pm night game isn't a call for for much celebration. Thankfully I'm going to be out of town on the east coast and I won't bother to stay up late to watch the festivities. A quick check of the score is all Cal football is worth at this point.

Don't students show for night games?

we have a saying in my family, 4 generations of bears fans, "Cal fans celebrate before the game." with that being said, you can find us acting like animals at Sproul a few hours before kick off... Bring a drink...

Support our student athletes and the other students that put on Cal football games at home (TCMB, Rally Comm, Cheer(?), Bearettes). Going to Cal football games predates and has nothing to do with Wilcox, Musgrave, McClure and Knowlton. It is about reconnecting with alums and family, tailgating and enjoying beer and Top Dogs together in the perfect setting -- Strawberry Canyon. There are only 6 of these in Berkeley per year. Don't let bad coaching steal that from you. Big lesson/takeaway from the Pandemic -- don't let events like these go by you may never experience them again.

The loss against Colorado was disappointing, but I will be at the game to support our students. I upgraded to Field Club tickets. Based on my experience trying to sell basketball tickets for games I could not attend, I do not believe it is possible to sell any tickets on Stubhub for a $1.

A hunch tells me the game Sat. night will be the lowest attendance ever vs. Washington since CMS opened in 1923. Here's something Knowlton & Wilcox can be proud of.

The UW game is going to be a tough ticket now, with the return of Steve Greatwood!

Suddenly I have people calling me out of the blue organizing a great pregame and then a walk to the stadium. Gonna be crazy.

You make a bold, decisive move like bringing Greatwood back as an analyst, word gets around and pretty soon it's standing-room-only for California Football! Everybody wants to see what's going to happen and nobody wants to miss the show!

Well, and I think the timing of it was the icing on the cake. Don't let it happen during the bye week when people were expecting it because it would have the most positive impact. Do it right before the next game. Catching people off guard like that caused a burst of additional excitement. Brilliant!

Indeed: It's like you wake up on the day after Christmas and... "Say, what's that under the tree?" And there, lo and behold, is the present you had always been wishing for!

Years from now, a half a million people will claim they were there for the 2022 game against Washington!

Go Bears!

Yes honestly the tail gating at Cal is my fundamental draw to home games.
