With players now able to transfer without sitting out a year, recruiting transfers is much more important than it used to be, and coaching staffs that don't do a good job of bringing in good transfers to fill needs on their team are falling short in an important component of recruiting.
Looks like Oregon State's staff has done a good job of using the transfer portal to fill needs on their roster.
I agree but ignorant posters are comparing high school recruiting ratings although that is now less than half of the recruiting puzzle. The Beavers top players are transfers.

They do separately, yes. OSU had a top 20 class in 2020. Their starting QB is also a transfer, as are 6 of their other offensive starters. I didn't say we don't have a couple transfers. We do. Posters here just ignore how good a team can get if they play the game and get transfers. We have one foot in.

It's not just the W-L record, but how those losses occured. If we get blown out 66-3 in each of those games, it would get things moving much faster than 48-35 losses where 28 of those points come during garbage time. There seems to be ZERO adjustment to our weaknesses. Why F would you keep throwing sloooooow developing 2 yard passes to flats over and over and over. It's literally stupid and incompetent. Not one quick release to TE, pitch wide to Ott, bootleg or rollout. Just same plays.
Special teams may need another overhaul.
