this guy is fast, elusive and knows how to get out of bounds. He's going to leave dl's with their tongues hanging out by the 2nd 1/4.

Kyler Murray did just fine at Oklahoma and is doing well in the NFL.

Being 6'3 250 did not stop Nate Longshore from being seriously injured at least 3 times in his Cal career.

Being hit in the pocket while throwing is when a QB is at the greatest risk for injury. Being elusive, moving outside the pocket, able to elude tacklers, decreases the risk of injury.

That said, we do need at least 3 QBs, which I am sure we will have. Mendoza will be one. We will likely get one more top QB in the Spring. We will have 2 or 3 walk-ons. We do not need Shrout.

Washington QB Sam Heard is transferring to Cal Poly. Hmm.
