Smaller schools aren't going to attract the same level of second-stringers as the bigger ones, so I don't really see that happening. Plus they can't afford to load up on them like the bigger players can.bearsandgiants said:

He enrolled at UW in 2020 and hasn't played at all. That's a long time. Power 5 teams that need a QB have a lot options among guys who have played. He can go to Cal Poly and get on the field immediately. If he puts up big numbers, he'll get a lot of offers. Might even go back to Seattle. Exactly! You will will probably see more QB's who want to start as freshmen go to non top flight programs where they can put up good numbers, then transfer to top programs with massive NIL deals. I think thats a win win. Smaller schools get a good QB for a year and some interest in football. Bigger schools can then hand pick QBs and throw money at them.95bears said:
