Key language here is that ION is simply mentioned as a Pac-12 partner and not necessarily a bidder for the Pac-12 TV rights. Possible that McMurphy and Mandel are both correct if the Pac-12 is looking towards ION for carriage of non-revenue sports or something after the Pac-12 Network is dissolved.
