If we cut prices 30 percent maybe we get close to sellout vs Auburn?

Yea, it has irritated me that as on-field performance flatlined, and attendance continues to drop, the prices continue to rise.

the con artist's $1,300,000+ salary isn't gonna get paid without increasing tix prices & athletic dept donations!

Yeah he should be paid ONLY based on a percent of the gate based on growth over previous years attendance.

I cannot recall ever paying triple digits for a single game ticket, Auburn will be the first (and I need 3 of them *******it).

stykur, them mckeever lawsuits against knowlton & his #2 in charge confidante jenny aren't gonna get paid with monopoly money but it's always possible that the con artist is scheming to borrow another $11,000,000 from the central campus to keep the ponzi scheme afloat & his paychecks getting deposited on fridays

How else are you going to afford a 30% share in the All Coasts Conference

But seriously, the program would probably benefit from lowering prices just to get butts in seats. Show that there still are Cal fans. If you build it they will come...

They are over a hundred bucks?!? Just paid $80 each for 3 BG tickets and I thought that was high.

Can just see the wheels turning with JK-and-the Marketing-Dept... "Ooooh, AUBURN, that's big-time!" Well, it's not... and we're not. Not now.; not yet.

I would pay $200 per ticket if the game day experience weren't so crappy.

I ended up paying 140 per ticket but 30 of that is a d@mn ticket fee from stub hub. I bought a few for my friends and turns out two of them came make it anymore. If anyone is interested, please message me. They are in row three of section TT.

Cal's genius marketing team will do what they always do-- punish the loyal fans. As they game draws near and they realize there are many tickets remaining, they'll lower prices or introduce a 3-gm mini pack that includes Auburn.

I think seat geek is the new partner for athletic ticket office as they are listed here. Much better prices than stubhub although still high fees.

As of a few minutes ago, there were four tickets for the Auburn game available on Craigslist Bay Area - $80 each.

The loyal UC Berkeley Bears fans who demanded a rebuilt stadium for teddy, and then refused to help cover the costs, share some of the rewards.

So, bottom line, a family of four who wants to go to this game might be shelling out $500 just for the tickets?

Unless you are visiting Auburn fans, already Cal season-ticket holders, well-off, or considering this to be a once-a-year "very special occasion", that seems like a deal-killer. Not sure why they think that is a good price point for tickets.

How much is it on TV?

Do you think I can pay for all the tailgate foods and drinks for the cost of ticket, and then go pee in my own bathroom, and then host the postparty with zero commute?

When I had season's tickets during the Tedford era, my seats in Section HH, Row 48, Seats 11 and 12 were $31.00 each.

I think tickets should range from $40 to $80, with an additional $10 bump for the California rivals.

Tickets in the end zones are $60, which is $10 cheaper than the USC game. $100+ for sideline seats is completely reasonable. I don't know if the ATO is playing games with inventory, but there are not a lot of seats left on the sidelines direct from Cal. There also aren't a lot of sideline seats to start with due to the student section, club seats, and donor benchback seats.

If they do want to sell the game out with ticket specials, it makes more sense to do that the week of the game. I wish they'd figure out a way to sell every other row in empty sections to spread people out.

A family of 4 could also buy season tickets in the north end zone for $150/ea, total $600.

And I remember when gas was $0.18 per gallon.

Tedford was the one who insisted that CMS be renovated and that the end product be a quality product.

Supply, meet demand.

For the Auburn game, a lot of the nicer seats along the sidelines from end zone to end zone on the West & East sides are mostly sold out.

And I remember when Exact Sciences was trading at $159 a share a few years ago and our 26,000 shares was worth $4.13 million dollars. I also remember back in 1980 when Irv Hunt asked me to "walk-on" the Cal Track team. Go Bears!

I recall getting season tickets there as well for most of JTs years. Took the whole family + their friends. Became loyal Bear fans as a result. Even throwing in the Jet Blue airfares from Long Beach (sometimes just $49 RT), those years made it a great weekend to be a Bear fan!

SeatGeek charges about thesame stub hub, 40% except they allow "Show with fees" , which stub hub does not. Its a shame no one uses the TicketExchange here except a few people . I have gotten some good deals there.

Exactly. Bought on stubhub $140 per to be down low by the 20 yard line.

And I think they had some super cheap "family" type ticket deals in the endzone too.
It was a great day at Memorial Stadium for sure!

There used to be a family package in the 70s and early 80s where you could buy a season ticket good for two adults and three tickets to sit in the southwest corner, a prime location for firing Carnation malted tops into the south end zone. Among other things, I was looking right at Steve Sweeney when he caught the winning pass with time expiring against Stanford.

You could also bring in bags of food and drink. My parents, my brother, sister and I would all go. When we got bored, we would go across to what is now the rugby field to run around. That was part of my parents' brainwashing to go to Cal. Too bad the school doesn't want to do anything like that now to try and get a future fanbase.

Absolutely agree that tickets are a bit overpriced given the product on the field put out in recent years. Based on the tickets available through CalBears.com, it appears that the Auburn game should be a pretty big crowd, which is good too see, though.
