Auburn thought we were lousy and believed they could cruise into SEC play with no QB, suckers.
TaM running some cutting edge offensive scheme. Both TDs coming off some "play action pass"

Yeah, they're not too good. We should have won that game.
I ended up hanging out with some Auburn fans after the game, and they looked at me like a was crazy when I said Auburn was one of the easier games on the schedule.
I clarified, a one-dimensional rushing offense doesnt work in cfb. And then mentioned they had to travel and the Pac-12 was loaded this year.

perhaps spoke too soon, Auburn driving to get within a score
if auburn wins they will be ranked, and that could only be good for us. Hoping they pull one out.

Auburn is not a good team. Their offense is terrible. They had 140 ttl yards w/ 9 minutes left in the 4th qrtr. They have good RBs but their quarterbacks aren't very good. aTm did a great job scheming them. Both Spav and Sirmon could learn something about play calling watching what the aTm coordinators did today.

We had them 3rd and 18 on their late TD drive and couldn't get off the field. It's a recurring problem and cause for concern. We need better edge rush. Simple as that.

Is that a good thing? Our defense is *fine*. Maybe kinda good ish. Nowhere near good enough considering how bad the offense is. UW's offense is a monster so we'll have a better sense after tonight (I'm not optimistic).

Considering that A&M came into this year with what folks thought was a Top 10 defense in the country, yeah I'm feeling kinda good about that.

Some posters have been trying to spin this narrative after that pathetic loss. None of that passes the eyeball test and their performance today shows who they are and unfortunately, what we are.
Our defense is average AT BEST.
