Yep, OSU is for real.
"Just win, baby."
both lines strong.Bowlesman80 said:

Just watched Plummer throw a pick in the endzone ending a potentially game-winning drive.KenBurnski said:
Meanwhile Louisville and NC State are battling. Plummer has had some gut punch picks in this one but game is tied.
LOL. IMHO It was mutually beneficial.BearoutEast67 said:
Why aren't the Negative Nancies crowing about how Cal let Plummer get away?
Everyone remembers the good stuff, which there was some. But we were 4-8 behind a terrible line. Better line he gets us 6-6. Had to move on. Love his commitment and hanging in there while getting pummeled, but just was not accurate.Bowlesman80 said:Just watched Plummer throw a pick in the endzone ending a potentially game-winning drive.KenBurnski said:

Deja Vu, all over again.
Plummer has moments of greatness followed by...***?
Not accurate and not consistent. Legs some out this year, so I reckon the Charlie Horses that had him limping with us have healed.Oski87 said:Everyone remembers the good stuff, which there was some. I can't name the game, but, yeah, I remember such a turnover, perhaps more than once.KenBurnski said:
It was such a strange and pointless throw for a vet qb to make. I feel like he did something similar in Big Game last year.

Chiles is the best QB they have.Bowlesman80 said:
Can someone explain to me why OSU HC put Freshman QB Chiles in a game, early and only up by one TD?
Not DJ U?eastbayyoungbear said:Chiles is the best QB they have.Bowlesman80 said:

DJ U has a really good arm but his efficiency is very poor.Bowlesman80 said:Not DJ U?eastbayyoungbear said:Chiles is the best QB they have.Bowlesman80 said:

Dude is just really slow at reading defenses, against Washington State he only threw for 50% completions.eastbayyoungbear said:DJ U has a really good arm but his efficiency is very poor.Bowlesman80 said:Not DJ U?eastbayyoungbear said:Chiles is the best QB they have.Bowlesman80 said:

That was awesome.bluehenbear said:
4th and one qb sneak trick play pitch out for TD. Oh how I wish our run plays were this creative.
Creative, imaginative, plus daring.bluehenbear said:

Yeah, they're really good against teams without a QB.Bowlesman80 said:
Yep, OSU is for real.
No, for the very reasons you mention, and I would add that they are going to have a really great football stadium once the remodel is complete, the fact that no major conference took them on is really very sad and I feel really sorry for them.72CalBear said:
Anyone else envy the Beavers football? Small town support, hungry players not recruited by the big schools, great coaching, and "overachieving" the past few years. Good luck next week Bears.
Brutal.heartofthebear said:Yeah, they're really good against teams without a QB.Bowlesman80 said:

So we should watch out.
I think that's gotta' be our strategy for the remainder of the schedule.bluehenbear said:
Yeah the beavs and the utes are just going to blitz our offense all day long. Only hope is defensive stalemate.
It's been our strategy for the last 6 years. So I wouldn't expect it to change.Bowlesman80 said:I think that's gotta' be our strategy for the remainder of the schedule.bluehenbear said:

But actually I think both Utah and OSU are hugely over-rated. Neither has an offense that is worthy of a top 20 ranking. Utah might, once Rising comes back, whenever that will be.
The legit teams in this conference so far seem to be Oregon, Washington and USC. WSU and UCLA might join them but I need to see more.
