....You know (old timers)...ole'... Hernando's Hideaway?

Don't get me wrong. Fernando Mendoza was a pleasant surprise. And, from all the BI posts that I've read, I can make a good guess that by now there is hardly any room left on Mendoza's bandwagon.

I was thinking that Cal's game with Utah might turn out to be a doozy!

Then, I just realized that Utah is just coming off its bye week. Oh, their offense will still be off balance with their star QB and other key players all banged up, but what is a lot more important is that the Utes' defense has had time to lick its wounds and heal up. This defense's fortes are putting pressure on the QB and stifling the run game.

I have one of those darn feelings of mine that not only Cal RBs are going to have a rough game, but the QBs will be running, no, not for long gains, but for their lives! So, forget Finley; he's too slow. And, as for Jackson, he's too shell shocked and therefore too erratic. So, we'll see if Fernando doesn't change into a Hernando...ole'!
