True, but Lake was under real heat character-issues aside after year 1. Highly likely that he would have been retained after a second year, and I'm sure they would have found another substantial upgrade.

The play calling has been terrific today. Everything we have been calling for. Toss to Ott. The Jet on the Jet sweep. Wheel routes to Ott. Passing over the middle. Pistol. Double tight end with Ifsnse in short yardage.

True but we have a defense that can't stop the running game and therefore the offense will not get the opportunities they need.
