Finleys problem is he always looks for hunter first, no matter what. Hunter is not winning against his defender.

Lot's of competitive and entertaining games out there like last night between Furd and Colorado.
But Cal games just plain suck. You know the outcome by the time the 3rd quarter rolls around.

When my father was alive and he was towards the end of his life he'd listen to the Bears and Starkey after the the game I'd stop by and he would say the same thing since their last rose Bowl. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THOSE GUYS? Different decades but still consistent.
Hopefully Fernando is ok. We sure could use Sirmon back and the missing defensive linemen…maybe the bye week will give them a chance to heal
I totally forgot that we beat North Texas to start the season which seems like a thousand years ago.

They are mad about the ejection and Wilcox being cute and pretending like he's actually coaching a comeback effort and using timeouts in a lost game

Finley has multiple problems but telegraphing his throws with a weak arm and poor accuracy is the most dangerous.
But here's the biggest question. Why does the radio guy keep saying "out of play," instead of "out of bounds"?

Wilcox will Sirmon out the rest of the year so he has ready made excuse for another extension
We just need to be patient and give Wilcox 3 years to build up the defense.

Instead of buying him out for 20mm, couldn't we just keep him as DC and hire a real coach for 20mm?
Other than health I really don't know what the bye week is supposed to do for this team, Caleb Williams and SC might take a few hits against Notre Dame and Utah but against our secondary they are probably still going to score a ton.DavisBear said:

Totally physically dominated, we gave up 445 yards, 317 on the ground. They could have won the game without throwing a pass. Their offensive line was routinely pushing us 3-4 yards back at the line of scrimmage. Sirmon missing was a huge hit, he's been great at cleaning things up all year, without him we were getting gashed.

"We need stability as we move to the ACC" the reality is we probably add another patsie to next year's schedule, get to 6-6 and a bowl and Wilcox gets an extension. Instead of becoming a contender in the ACC we settle for mediocrity (a level above where we are in the PAC-12).

The Dline was getting pushed back 3-4 yards every time. Sirmon ain't going to make a difference
Last year the excuse was the Dline had injuries. What's the excuse this year?
