They have a good chance to steal the coveted #12 position in the ultimate PAC12 season.

On the other hand - he is actually making changes midseason instead of waiting forever and accepting the same d@mn results week after week, season after season. Kudos to him for wanting to get better right now.

I echo Econ's comments. This doesn't mean the wheels are falling off at all. It means he had a flat and is changing a flat tire.

Deion's calling an audible at the line of scrimmage before the next play based on what he's seeing.

Can't judge his moves until we see how they result.

Could be. This could also make assistant coaches a little hesitant to sign up with Deon. I mean, the team is averaging 32 points per game. At Colorado. With a new coaching staff and lots of new pieces. If you were the OC being replaced, you would probably be pretty bitter!!!

From what I have seen, it isn't the OC fault they have no OL and a bad defense. This will be like Wilcox firing Spavital after the Oregon game.

The entire Deon thing was just a show with little to back it up. He almost lost to Colorado State for goodness sake.

I think in most cases, your take would be the correct one. However, in this case, where the HC is also the QBs dad, it makes Deion's true motivations a little more suspicious.

He hasn't fired any assistants, he just promoted some else, that's all. It's logistics

Folks, the Colorado football program is sooo much better than it was before Deion. The season has been a disappointment only because expectations of an immediate turnaround were ridiculously high. Give the guy a few years and then lets talk.

I agree with this. Colorado was an abomination the last few years, Deion (for all his flaws) has at least made the team respectable.

Colorado is also running into the same problem as Cal this year, in that the team is better, but since the Pac-12 is incredibly stacked at all three levels (top, middle and bottom), the team's improvement is not being reflected in the record.

They have 3 points in a Half against Oregon St. I'd say Deon chose the wrong scapegoat.

Their offense has been good this year only looking bad against Oregon and UCLA both of which have great DLs. Their OL is atrocious. The fact they scored so many points against most of their opponents while having as bad as an OL as we had last year means the OC was doing a good job. We certainly could have predicted this wouldn't work. And it isn't. They have 3 points against Oregon St.

This. If the disappointments continue, the whole thing will implode in 13 months, max. Deion Sanders, as a coach, is mostly all sizzle; very little steak.

52 yards at halftime and a colossal play calling failure to end the 1st half.

You mean like Sanders not throwing the ball away in order to avoid lower completion averages?

The University of Colorado should be called The Kingdom of Sanders.

Has there been any team in recent history more hyped up at the beginning of the year, including, "hey, two Heisman candidates" that fell as flat as Colorado?

To be fair, Travis Hunter is that good on both sides of the ball.

"That good" isn't getting you a Heisman (any more). All American, decent draft pick? Sure .
7 losses and the Heisman? No.
