Winning at the Rose Bowl is a sweet ending to this story
We can say we won our last ever game in the Pac.
And bragging rights over the Bruins forever.
And nice touch by ESPN showing "The Play" as the greatest play in PAC-12 history.
Now the greatest play in ACC history
Not really.
Are you serious? Unoriginal, copied Cal. No band. And Miami needed that play to beat Duke? Versus beating John Elway to "ruin the last game of (his) college career" while crying? Turn in your Cal credentials immediately.
Honestly you can tell me I'm sunshine-pumping but one more game (bowl win) like this and I think we set ourselves up to be a pretty desirable destination for transfer players this offseason
And as someone posted earlier, we were 2 pts away from sweeping the California schools.
We lost to USC by 1.
Need 2 to win?
A one point loss is not a 2 point loss.
I still think we should have just kicked the XP to tie.
I am starting to think you have cognitive issue. I have never seen anyone as intent on arguing something so inane outside of someone fighting dementia. Seriously.
Did I hear the TV announcers correctly when they said this was UCLA's best defensive season ever? How does Chip Kelly go only 7-5 with his offensive resume and all the talent they have?

This is huge. Another 4 or 5 win "losing" season would have been a killer. Players are less likely to transfer out with a bowl to play. If we can look good in the bowl game (no Cheeziit) we will set up well for next year in the ACC. Probably not a top opponent, but hopefully a good name in a good location (LA would be perfect).

Makes up for Flemming picking all USC and Furd players for his all-time Pac team.
Fleming is a hoar. Bears and rodgers are the greatest of all time
Like, especially in THIS game. With Cal and UCLA fans watching, you're going to only pick players from their bitter rivals for the Pac-12 "Mount Rushmore"? Seems like a direct insult.
Great win by the Bears. Especially gratifying that this wins comes at the expense of fUCLA who abandoned us for the Big 10 in the dead of night. Screw 'em!!

They did throw in the Play and Marshawn golf cart clips.

He's a good play by play announcer, but it's just . . . read the room, man.
What, you don't think Andrew luck is the best QB in conference history? I mean…he's not even better than elway or plunkett. If we're talking about best college QB it's probably leinart. Best pro is either arod or elway. Best combination of both is probably aikman. Luck is nowhere near any of these guys.
Fleming is a butthead. Osweiler also. No respect. Go away, and take Ted Robinson with you.
Bears rule!!
Will miss the PAC-12 but good riddance to the PAC-12 Network (I know this was on ESPN, our new corporate master…).
The technical production people were great IMO. The distribution negotiators RUINED the entire conference. Head visionary was Larry Scott, right? (Insert fizzle sound emoji)

Of course, I knew I was going to receive some push back when I posted that.
I was at The Play and have shared/bragged about it ever since.
It must be a bit like Trump not being able to admit he lost, because you gotta admit - the (Miami) play itself it unreal. More laterals. More yardage covered. Longer duration.
No band, which is crucial. But while we have a knee down and a forward lateral, they have at least one brutally obvious block in the back.
They are comparable.
We had a canon go boom, they did not. We rushed the field and paraded an axe. The party spilled into the streets for hours. They (at Duke) got on a plane and flew back to Miami with only themselves to celebrate. Not as much fun.
You got 12 likes, and all of those guys are like little trumpist wannabes (in my analogy). Sometimes, truth is truth.
As a Cal fan, I'll stick with this - ain't nothing like your first time!!! That had never been done before, to my knowledge, and everyone is trying to beat Berkeley ever since. That crown can never be taken away!
If only Duke had slipped into Miami campus newspapers boxes bootleg copies that said the NCAA had reversed the ruling on the field and nullified the win!
The @dailycal vs. @stanforddaily feud is nothing new. In 1982, the year of The Play, the Stanford Daily published a fake issue of our paper in which they awarded themselves the win and distributed it at @UCBerkeley. Left was our real paper, right is the fake: pic.twitter.com/up3SEeixWD

Same way we go 6-6 with one of our best offenses ever and our defensive wizard head coach.
