Bears Pick Up Temple Portal OT Victor Stoffel

The Bears made their 27^th addition to their 2024 recruiting class today with the commitment of senior Temple offensive tackle Victor Stoffel‍ today. The 6-8/300 OT earned honorable mention All-Conference and was named CFN Midseason AAC OL MVP and honorable mention All-American. He’ll join fellow senior offensive lineman Rush Reimer‍ as Cal’s 2024 OL portal additions.

Stoffel got a brief start playing football as a freshman in Nebraska before moving to Stockholm, Sweden for the rest of high school. He arrived at Temple in 2019 and earned some playing time and an occasional start before taking over as starting right tackle after his return from injury as a redshirt sophomore and also started the full season as a redshirt junior in 2023, giving up only two sacks on the season.

Though the Bears will continue to look for key portal additions throughout the spring, they are fast approaching this week’s deadline to add additional players for the spring semester, which begins January 16. There is one more commit who has yet to publicly announced that is also included in the 27-player 2024 recruiting class tally.
