Didn't realize he was leaving. Tha fully be left after pressing for our inclusion into the ACC. Good to get some of his perspectives on realignment here.

as I read this, it became increasingly clear that hs recruits are stepping into a morass that they can't be prepared for. if it isn't being done already, shouldn't they have a savvy representative present at all meetings they have with coaches? somebody's got to watch out for them and i don't mean the street hangers-on or, in most cases, a parent. in fact, a parent should be the first to push for this.

Granted, such a representative would be looking to an agent contract up front and maybe that's already happening, but i'm not sure that an agent would have the kid's best interest at heart.

perhaps i'm showing how long i've been out of the loop.

Mr. Drake, are you taking notes?
Please give to Cal Legends at https://calegends.com/calegendsdonate/donate-football/ and encourage everyone you know who loves Cal sports to do it too.

To be in the Top 1% of all NIL collectives we only need around 10% of alumni to give $300 per year. Please help spread the word. "If we don't broaden this base we're dead." - Sebastabear

That begs the question With all this realignment, where does it stop -- particularly with Florida State and Clemson wanting out of the ACC?

Swarbrick: "My crystal ball is cloudier than it's ever been. That's saying something. I don't see a lot of momentum towards further realignment right now. There are some schools that, if they made a move, might change that. But frankly, we're probably first among that, but we're not likely to.

"I don't see the catalyst right now. The Big Ten and SEC have the assets they need to position themselves for their next media negotiation. I understand the ACC has disgruntled members, but I'm not sure there are better options for them. The ACC's legal position is a very strong one."
