We will have a chance as Auburn did not manage to get another QB in the portal and will ride it out with Payton Thorne, but who knows with our secondary.


Thorne was 9 of 14 (64.3%) for 94 yards, 2 TDs and 1 Int (153 Passing Rating) at Memorial.

It will be interesting to see if Sam Jackson plays and how Freeze uses him.

Jackson played a bit in their spring game and caught at least 1 pass. IIRC it was a mesh but I was flipping back and forth with the NCST game and didn't know it was him at the time so not 100% sure. I haven't gone back to watch the whole replay (yet?). SJV is wearing a gold jersey, so apparently he's still non-contact from whatever happened here last season. I assume he re-aggravated the NTX shoulder a some point but don't know.
