2025 Arizona ILB Beckham Barney Commits to Cal

6-3/205 Mountain View (Mesa, AZ) High School inside linebacker Beckham Barney‍ announced his commitment to Cal while on his official visit to Berkeley this weekend. 

“My visit has been great and I have definitely felt the warmth from the program, staff, and players,” Beckham said. “Cal was right the fit for me because of the amazing opportunities for me to advance on and off the field.

“Go Bears!”

The all-state linebacker holds an impressive 4.2 GPA and had an equally impressive junior season, totalling 145 tackles, 4 Sacks, 13 TFL, 4 forced fumbles,1 fumble recovery and 1 interception and had 204 all purpose yards along with 3 receiving touchdowns.

Barney becomes the ninth 2025 prep commit of the season, joining RBs Anthony League‍‍, WR Meyer Swinney‍, OL Ben Howard‍, DE Ike Okafor‍ and fellow linebackers Carter Jones‍ and Ke’Brion Winston as well as CB Kaden Cook‍.
