I like seeing that the MAAC (not the MAC) and the Ivy League are ahead of the Big-12.

See ACC, we're leading you to glory!

This medal count is not up to date, French phenom Leon Marchand already has 3 gold medals and is ASU/Big 12, as is Russian-Canadian swimmer Ilya Kharun, who also medaled tonight.

Is the NCAA (above) undercounting Cal? Or is it just a timing issue?

They only count NCAA sports. Cal counts rowing, for example. Not an NCAA sport. Neither is ping pong...etc.

Screw that.

Is there a full medal count by school?

For some of these other sports, Cal is in a different conferences e.g., water polo is then Mountain West. ACC can't lay claims to teams in a different conferences.

Imagining late night drunken gambling sessions at fraternities vs. an Olympic ping pong player. The only chance to practice after freshman year in the dorms.

There should be Olympic pool, and foosball too. A true triathlon and test of young talent.
