Yep, that's correct. No wonder we're in the ACC and have to travel across the country to play half of our conference games.

Well, if we're playing this game...

Indiana had a losing conference record for 17 straight seasons (2002-2018) -- or 25 straight without a winning record (1994-2018) -- before going over .500 in 2019 and the shortened 2020 season.
Even bad records are made to be broken.
More than half the BIG is east of the Miss. so, i'm not sure the travel argument flies (sorry).Gobears49 said:

I think what he is saying is our poor history is what got us scrambling begging ACC for a lifeline. Had our recent history been better we'd possibly be in the B1G with 5 former pac schools (assuming Furd also) on our sched. Also presumably a better revenue cut.

We pay Wilcox like AT&T pays its CEO after a 30 year(!) stock price slide. That guy makes Wilcox look like a pauper...$20 million per year.
lol no. What an absurd statement.Cal88 said:
Breaking this streak will now be significantly easier in the ACC. Over the last decade plus, the Pac12 North has been the toughest division in the NCAA along with the SEC West.

Silver lining: most of this list is B1G teams so apparently a desirable trait for that conference. We'd fit right in!

AT&T had $15.6 billion in net income in 2023. Cal football would have had to earn almost $4 billion in net income to be comparable.
