I stumbled across a large Youtube archive of Washington State Football Games from the 1920s through about 2005. There are hundreds of games, including 40 or so Cal-Wazzu games. While they have playlists for 6 of the other 7 PAC-8 schools, Cal is in the playlist "Football - various opponents". Go figure. I've only checked a few, but it appears most of these were filmed for the coaching staff, so there's mostly no sound and have been edited down to about 30-40 minutes. The ones with sound are mainly from more recent times and it does mention if there is sound in the listing.

I watched the first half of the 1958 WSU @ Cal game because it had sound and it was surprisingly good quality. It was from TV and had a very young Keith Jackson calling the play by play. Seeing Joe Kapp in action was fun, though halfback Jack Hart was the player that really stood out. Lots of fumbles by both teams!.

I watched the 1974 game since it was one of the first Cal games I attended. I remembered lots of lead changes, but not the ton of penalties and turnovers. I think the Cougs threw more interceptions than completions. Very entertaining game.

I, for one, would love t see the Cal -- WSU game in, I shorting after 2000 where the WSU quarterback threw for over 700 yards but Goff and Bears pulled the game out at the end. I was actually in the state ol Washington then, visiting my son who was attending Whitman college in Walla Walla, WA, barely getting radio commentary the game on my cell phone, Probaby one of the most notable games in Cal football history.

I would appreciate anyone who has access to the video of that game to post it on Bear Insider. Thanks and Go Bears.

Thanks for posing this. Very good quality. I never thought I would get to see any part of this game, especially the end of it. A Cal classic!

I believe I read the WSU quarterback never played in the pros, perhaps because of an injury he had.

Go Bears!

I would really appreciate your posting the Joe Kapp video you have. I doubt many, or even any, Cal fans, have watch video of Joe Kapp playing in a full, or almost full, game. It would be a treat for us to see Joe playing for Cal. Thanks. And Go Bears.

BTW, I can't retrace my steps but I just saw a video of Aaron Rodgers and Marchawn Lynch talking in the stands, not connected with a football game. Lynch referred to Rodgers as "AROD" which I think is a cool nickname. People should use it in referring to Rodgers, to help it catch on. I will.

Crazy game. Holliday threw a few really amazing passes. I mean he threw a lot of good passes obviously, but a few were amazing.

After watching that I watched a few mins of Cal UCLA basketball game 1994. Starting lineup - Jamison 6-11, Yogi 6-10, Lamond 6-7, Buckley 6-6, and poor little Jason Kidd 6-4.

I saw Kidd play a lot of games and I recall how great he was, but to see it again is still startling. He is faster than damn near everybody. He is stronger than damn near everybody. He rips and claws at the ball on almost every possession defensively. He was a freight train when flying down the court and then his special ability to break down defenders and make such beautiful passes.

Can you imagine if he had played with Shareef??? Dick Vitale would have stroked out in the first two minutes...

To be clear, I didn't upload the game to YouTube so I don't deserve any credit/thanks. I just shared a link to the video that someone else uploaded.

Tell me the end of the game field goal attempt wasn't tipped by a Cal player at the 3:02:05 mark?

I been trying to tell my brothers that ball "hops" sideways just a teeny bit, but oddly enough, I can only perceive in real time. When I slow the video down I cannot see the "hop". But I swear it is tipped, or grazed really, a mere glancing blow lol

This was a late game, a long game, a Pac-12 After Dark game. After the WSU kicker "missed" the field goal, we were celebrating and I never bothered to look back at the replay until now after all these years!
