Seems we're really loaded on offense.

Words don't impress me. Performance on the field does.

That will follow Bloesch's impressive attitude. If we ever fire Wilcox, Bloesch should succeed him.

If Bloesch is a success at OC, we will win a lot of games and Wilcox will not get fired. If Wilcox gets fired it will be in large part because he failed once again in his 4th "search" for an OC (by simply promoting from within when Spavital left before the bowl and declaring it permanent before we saw the results). In which case, there is no way we fire Wilcox and make the same mistake Wilcox made, but worse. If Bloesch is successful as Cal OC he may get a HC offer at a lower level. Let's hope the first part of that comes true.

Bloesch could be a success at OC and we could still lose due to a weaker-than-expected D. Not saying that will happen and hope it doesn't, but it's a scenario where Wilcox is let go and Bloesch is promoted (given that Wilcox would now be a "defensive specialist" with demonstrated, clear regression and poor records. None of these scenarios is great for the program though. If we do turn a corner, and start winning big, Wilcox may be hired away and Bloesch is promoted. Odds may be slim but it would be a good situation for us, imo. But Wilcox has been great in many aspects of the job for which we have nothing to compare to Bloesch.

Reminds me I neec\d to describe how Wilcox screwded Cal in our 2020 24-23 defeat to Stanford by making two horrendous decisions on Cal missed attempts to kick an extra point and a field goal. I think Wilcox's misdeeds have essentially been covered up by the media.

Maybe I'll describe how Wilcox totally screwed up later today.
