Clemson and FSU both look underwhelming

Clemson and FSU think they're the hot ****'s of the ACC alnog with NC, whom we've beaten twice. Not saying Cal will win the conference but there don't seem to be teams like Ohio State, Georgia or Alabama that would crush us like dry bones. Cal can play with any of these ACC teams--we should be competitive. Travel, though, will be hard.

Clemson was slow to adapt to the portal. Fatal mistake.

I think their time as a Top Five program is gone and it ain't coming back soon.

Va Tech loses to Vanderbilt. If Cal can't win games in THIS ACC, may as well just fold up the football program.

Of course Cal won't play either VT or Clemson this season, but our Bears should either have a winning record in conference games, or give someone else a try at being head coach. Things are moving too fast in this sport to allow for a multi-year "adjustment period" to the new conference.

The "top" of the ACC is bad this year, except for Miami (maybe). Miami looks miles above everyone in the ACC even after one drive.

It's all relative. Miami may be near the top of the ACC but they aren't all that. I bet Florida beats em pretty good and UF is just average in the SEC.
