Several years ago I listened to a video of Paul Finebaum, famous sothern sports radio announcerer, particularly in the South, talking to the person who poisoned the famous oak trees on the Auburn campus. Here is a short portion of that conversation.

If I was going to the game at Auburn, I would ask where those famous oak trees were and how the replanted oak trees are doing.

It's an infamous, iconic spot. It's right where downtown meets the campus. You can't miss it. Intersection of Magnolia and College street. The new trees are doing well. There's many more trees in the area that get rolled with toilet paper as well. It was a touchy subject for years. The spot was.guarded for many years when we played Alabama in Auburn. But, it's been 13 years now since it happened. The drama of it has died down a lot.
