Willcox should send the tape of the play when our linebacker was kicked out for to whoever is appropriate. The hit was to the shoulder. If that is clear from the tape, if I were Wilcox I would make some remarks that the some consideration should be given to put the ref who reviewed the play (for about two minutes) and called the penalty SHOULD BE PUT ON PROBATION FOR ONE GAME.

Also, Cal's lack of depth at offensive line (two players ouit, incluidng out best one), should never occur. Offensive lineman seem to get nicked up more than any other position. Cal needs to recruit betterl, and get more depth, at that position.

It's not showing weakness if you post comments like this to the game thread.

One of the dumbest decisions I have ever seen by a coach, in this case Wilcox. It was clear Cal didn't have the first down, and a smart coach would have rushed up the next play, as the refs ruled Cal had a first down. But our Wilcox was not very smart about it and called a timeout, GIVING THE REFS A CHANCE TO REVIEW THE PLAY AGAIN LEISURELY, THUS GIVING THEM TIME TO DECIDE CAL DID NOT MAKE A FIRST DOWN. One of the dumbest decisions I have ever seen. Has anyone ever seen one like it?

It should either be reversed (not that it matters post game), or it should be the example to revise the rule after the season.
