Well, it's crazy that I am not. Long time Bear fanatic along with my dad. Quickly checked out airfare out of Long Beach (what happened to Jet Blue $49 each way?) and noticed Southwest would run nearly $400 if booking with a week less to go!. We used to drive during the JT years since we dragged the 3 kids and their friends along. No place to park. Worse than that, hotels that are close enough for walking to CMS are long ago booked and also $$$. Don't want to stay in Walnut Creek or Oakland/Emeryville. Added excuse, at 74 y/o now, I can't see getting up early and then waiting (pacing is a better word) for nearly 12 hours for kickoff. And the age requires Port-A-Potties.. I do have vivid memories of attending GD at Oregon in 2007 when we beat the Ducks but I was a younger version and we walked to Autzen. I will be looking out for you all and cheering from the LBZ. Go Bears!
Here's a partial solution.
I, too, was concerned about parking. Instead, I planned to take BART, which has ample, patrolled parking. We have done it from Modesto, parked in long term parking overnight, in Dublin, took BART to Berkeley. You may do it from either Dublin or from one of the Orange line stations.
I would not be adverse to staying in Walnut Creek near the BART station. They will, undoubtedly, have Porta-Potties for the overflow,
As for age and the need for frequent trips to the potty.
No solution. I'm 66 going on 80. LOL
"Just win, baby."
