The California football team will take on Pitt at 12:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, Oct. 12 with the game televised on ESPN or the ACC Network, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday.

The official network designation will be determined after this Saturday's slate of games.

The Golden Bears (3-1, 0-1 ACC) will travel east to face Pitt (4-0, 0-0 ACC) at Acrisure Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. It will be the sixth all-time meeting between Cal and Pitt with the Panthers holding a 3-2 advantage in the series. Cal won the most recent matchup 30-15 in 1966.

As hoped, even an East Coast game on the ACCN is going to have a 3:30 kick off (12:30 PDT) to maximize West Coast viewership.

I am guessing when it is all said and done, Cal will have the biggest increase in "viewership" in the country.

(Those helmets above still look yellow to me).

Would be nice if we can get another game on ESPN. I'm guessing they need us or Pitt to be ranked (and therefore win this week).

We will definitely be parked in the late night slot for Oregon State

Yeah, I expect that will be an ACC After Dark special.
