However, the other big factor is how the teams we have played did this past weekend. Sagarin is constantly using new data and the transitive property to try to rank all the teams.

Miami was our "good" loss but Miami losing to GT dropped them in the rankings and made our loss look not as good.

Virginia beat Pitt and made our loss to them look not as good.

Duke beat NC State and made or loss to them look not as good.

Florida State had a bye but were destroyed by UNC last week making our loss look even worse.

Auburn had a bye but of course lost to Vandy last week. They are 3-5 so our win is looking worse.

Oregon State lost to San Jose State and is now 4-5.

San Diego State lost to New Mexico and is now 3-6

So all of our opponents' losing has lowered our ranking. We have zero wins over FBS teams with winning records. Syracuse would be our first.

Yes, according to Predictor we should beat them by 16 at CMS. Since we beat them by 18, that win is boosting us, ever so slightly, but more so confirming our current Sagarin ranking.
