I was at the game so didn't go back to review the game thread, but on Stanford's second to last drive, Woodson balled out.
Stanford had just completed a fairly sizable 3rd down pass to Ayomanor, on the play where he got injured and left the game for a couple of plays.
Ayomanor's catch put Stanford right at the 50, fresh set of downs, with about 9 minutes left. 1st & 10: Woodson spies Daniels, and tackles him for no gain. 2nd & 10: Woodson chases down Daniels and pushes him out of bounds after a 5-yd gain. 3rd & 5: Woodson applies the hit to Stanford RB Ford on a short little interior pass that Ford probably should have caught. 4th & 5: punt.
Woodson's efforts stopped Stanford's penultimate drive, and set the stage for the 98-yard drive heroics to come. Just a great performance on 3 consecutive plays made by Woodson.
