After NSD the focus naturally shifted to the transfer portal, and there has been a lot of good news on that front, but there are still some high-end high school recruits who remain uncommitted. Notably, Justin Hasenhuetl (4* OL out of Georgia by way of Germany) will be committing this Saturday, Jan. 11th at the Navy All-American game.

He is predicted to pick Cal over his other finalists Arkansas and UNC. Belichick and UNC made a hard run at him lately but the rumors are that he's expected to reject their overtures and commit to California on national TV on Saturday (if anyone's interested or already planning to watch the game).

He's a 6-5 & 300lb OG with a high ceiling whose strength is in his run blocking. He would be a big pickup, in all senses of the word, for the program and likely a future OL cornerstone. He would be our highest rated OL recruit since Bastian Swinney

Interesting possibility for Cal.
I don't plan to watch the game. Please keep us posted whether he commits to Cal.

Based on what? You could be right but I haven't seen anything in the recruiting site predictions or rumors on social that have said UNC so I'm just wondering where you got that from

Ramsey was a four-star (or near that). Hasn't been able to crack the depth chart yet. Swinney is a decent backup. For that matter, we're still waiting for Vatikani to achieve his potential.

I'd love to see us do better evaluation and development. Some of these commits from the portal are large individuals. I hope they can play.

A good S&C program will make the OL a wall

Not a Major commit, however Dominic Ingrassia from College of San Mateo is a QB that looks promising. Potentially a diamond in the rough that is under the radar. Looking at his highlights, reminds me a lot of Goff's release, accuracy, and stature.

OK well I definitely don't have the kind of relationship with the coaching staff where we casually chat about potential recruits regularly so I was just going off of social media parsing and the projections at the recruiting sites from their insiders

^ shocky gotta lotta respect for randy's sources & will defer to his take on this recruitment

justin is a well constructed prospect that the shocky saw pregame on the field during his official visit to berkeley, if he decides to flip to cal this will be a MONSTER recruit for coach meeks & the o-line room

here's my original prospect profile on the german

cal's monster offensive line recruiting update:

2025 current georgia tech commit 6'5" 290 lbs guard justin hasenhueti from koln, deustchland & currently attending rabun gap-nacoochee high school in rural northeast georgia (kinda near clemson) took an official trip to berkeley...shocky saw him pregame on the field & can confirm he's constructed like autobahn collision road grader!!

but yeah justin is not my favorite german

https://instagr.am/p/C2deK6DLdJr
justin hasenhueti is NOT a dumb azz, he got a 3.75 gpa with english as a 2nd language!!...where's georgia tech on this world list & why is it so ******* humid (with nasty azz bugs) in atlanta more than half the year??...sorry lance but putting on bug spray before teeing off at peachtree is not a lotta fun

the university of california, berkeley=#1 ranked public university in the world (and the home of midnite city)

sei kein dummer azz#
justin, hast du genug vom lausigen georgia, es ist pulloverwetter in kalifornien, also lass uns ein abenteuer erleben!!

Not major? Ingrassia could be our starting QB next year.

I should have clarified what "major" means. Meaning no stars for his recruitment, based on 247 Sports. He is and was not rated any stars . Not to say he won't win or start for our team. Sigh...... if I have to explain more about the intentions of my post, I yield my time to BI....

Mason Mini has just flipped his commitment from Michigan State to Cal

Mini was Idaho's Tight End this past season
