After NSD the focus naturally shifted to the transfer portal, and there has been a lot of good news on that front, but there are still some high-end high school recruits who remain uncommitted. Notably, Justin Hasenhuetl (4* OL out of Georgia by way of Germany) will be committing this Saturday, Jan. 11th at the Navy All-American game.
He is predicted to pick Cal over his other finalists Arkansas and UNC. Belichick and UNC made a hard run at him lately but the rumors are that he's expected to reject their overtures and commit to California on national TV on Saturday (if anyone's interested or already planning to watch the game).
He's a 6-5 & 300lb OG with a high ceiling whose strength is in his run blocking. He would be a big pickup, in all senses of the word, for the program and likely a future OL cornerstone. He would be our highest rated OL recruit since Bastian Swinney
