Hoping that someone with influence might see this and remind Chancellor Rich Lyons and GM Ron Rivera that our Athletic Department is absolutely ruining the beauty of Memorial Stadium with the south end tarps and deck. Leave tarps and decks to USC and its Olympic track stadium.

markeisha everrett would rather attend outta state tarp management classes than simply just offer FREE tixs to all berkeley students

if ron truly got the keys to the cal football program this would NOT be an issue

They are still selling south endzone terrace suites, so that's going to prevent the removal of the tarps.

Disagree with this until we fill the stadium-remember the Tarps started in Tedford's biggest years!

That is so Cal that the link to the premium football seating appears to be dated Feb-16-2017. No one gives a rip.

Lol.

The page links from the 2025 season ticket info page and has 2025 content though. They are probably just editing it with new content.

And yes I think these endzone boxes look extremely pathetic and it seems like a whole lot of effort to tarp off 6k seats so that three 20 person terraces with mostly terrible views of the field from can go half sold on the year.

Your last paragraph captures the absurdity of this set-up so well. That's why I'm hoping someone with some clout and cajones around here can mention the absurdity of these "terraces" to our chancellor or GM.

As for the link to the premium seating having a 2017 date embedded in the URL, that's just sheer laziness. I would be hard pressed to find another pro or college sports ticketing office that is so lazy that the URL still references the 2017 date when someone first created the link. It's just so Cal.

"Suites"? That's hilarious.
